By Brian Feldman
English

This article examines Freud’s and Jung’s concepts of psychic bisexuality and the role that it plays in psychological development. An analytic treatment of a young woman is presented in which a homosexual transference developed in the regressive phase of the analysis. The analyst’s use of his erotic syntonic counter-transference is explored as a way of fostering a deeper understanding of the analysand’s mental states.
