The anterior roots of vision, or the mysteries of “seeing”
By Ghislaine de Laage
English
The ventral roots of vision belong to three orders: the physiological order, which concerns the entire nerve tract leading from behind the eyes to the occipital cortex; the functional order, which is organized during the period of fetal and early infant growth; and the symbolic order, which reveals the subject’s perception of his parental energies and filiation. The last two points can be explored through visualization.
