Dismay…

Despite the progress which has been made in psychosomatic theory, we can do little when we are faced with serious somatizations. Unexpected events in the psyche and body confront analysand and analyst with both pleasant and unpleasant surprises. This article also assesses references to Jung in the problem of healing, and how his teachings are used and sometimes abused.
