Under the owl’s eye

A child mourning his father’s hanging introduces other scenes, especially transgenerational ones, into the therapy. The owl is a recurring figure who, though in the background, plays an essential role. The author interprets it as the figuration of the individuation process itself, and muses upon the meaning of it in this therapy.
