Tact

What is the meaning of touch, in analysis? Variations on the theme of tact, both literally and figuratively, based on fragments from clinical situations and the meaning of words in current usage. The interweave of the two forms a bridge which leads, via modesty, to the wounds of Eros, those which must be handled with so much sensitivity to avoid further injury to the parts of the psyche which are still tender and vulnerable. The red thread of this weave links sensory perceptions to their psychic correspondences, rooting the psyche in the body. Tact is then a measure of the transformative psychic touch to the soul and the body.
