From dead thing to living being

The author shows how the myth of Jung could be the revitalization of that which is dead. To do so, she refers to the vision Jung had about the Basel cathedral, and the comments he made on it. The importance of the anal drive is obvious, along with the transition from image to thought, and the emergence of an experience related to the sacred. This experience might explain the importance of the phenomenon of transformation in Jung’s theories of the unconscious psyche, and especially his interest in alchemy.
