Sensorialities in psychoanalysis

The author points out the importance of sensoriality. In psychoanalysis, too little consideration is given to sensorial exchanges, whereas, in the author’s opinion, they are an integral part of transference. They are instrumental in symbolic elaboration as the avenue leading to it and its vehicle. The author posits that sensorial exchanges are related to affective attunement, as described by Daniel Stern.
