A rhinoceros...that’s a lot of dust!

An analysis of Ionesco’s play Rhinoceros is an opportunity to emphasize the importance for the ego complex to remain solidly anchored in a form of so-called “estimative” animal consciousness, which gives it the subjectivity needed to maintain perspective on the normative and/or ideological positions of the day, or of our psychological type. Moreover, the estimative endows us with an instinctive recognition of what is present in our perceptive field and really concerns us.
