The writer and the space shuttle

Based on a session with a little boy, the author observes the unconscious conditions surrounding the emergence of an unexpected representation, which might be the figure of a young Anima. This pivotal moment is examined from the standpoint of the child’s intra-psychic world as well as from that of the therapist’s transferential and metapsychological associations.
