Islam-West: an “archetypal” confrontration?

The author briefly presents a theory concerning the psychological roots of the tension between Western and Islamic culture. In the West, the archetypal accent tends to be placed on man, and in Islamic lands, it is placed on God (Allah). This archetypal confrontation is extremely relevant to the ecological crisis the whole world is facing.
