Images of work/work on images

English

An account of the author’s personal career. Photographing the world of work is both a form of work on himself and a mirror he holds out to his models, in a certain renunciation of mastery. Citing examples taken from his work as a photographer-auteur and as an art therapist, he describes how every confrontation with a photograph, whether one is the subject or the photographer, challenges the concept of time, due to the changes that have occurred in oneself and the world since the photograph was taken, and continuity. Hence, making photographs can be considered as an act of being committed to a work that arouses curiosity about past personal transformations, that mobilizes evolutions in the present, and that weaves bonds of continuities between all of these phases, giving meaning and coherence to life experience.
