Finding strength deep inside

By Fabienne Neuquelman-Denis

The first part of this study is an effort to identify the use, in a Jungian analysis, of elements deriving from the Freudian field: the concept, above all (the setting), but also an item from the Freudian arrangement (the couch). However, the reader following the process at work in the cure is taken beyond these observations, to other symbolic levels. The temenos becomes a central image in this process, and presents different characteristics, from an outer temenos to an inner, intimate one. The author has chosen a clinical case that directly illustrates certain clinical points Jung defined in Psychologie and Alchemy.
