The mythology of Hades and the concept of the shadow

Considering the mythology of Hades and the religious representations it reports, this article follows two interlacing lines of thought. First, we look at how the world of Hades is connected to the concept of the shadow. Second, we question this connection from the viewpoint of its bodily repercussions, paying particular attention to the way the shadow tends to bury itself in the body, generating various types of somatic disturbances.
