The digital revolution and the symbolism of the spirit

Inspired by the TV Series “Mr Robot” about the world of hackers, the author takes a new look at Jung’s thinking on the symbolism of Spirit. She explores the Hermes Archetype, from the theft of Apollo’s cattle, to the discovery of fire and of electricity, and finally to the advent of computer science. Thus, she takes the plunge, considering Self-consciousness as the third element: a transcendent function revealing itself in our digital world.
