The contamination and Marguerite Duras

In her time, Marguerite Duras created a regular literary pandemic. She was either loved or loathed. Alain Vircondelet, Xavière Gauthier, Colette Fellous, and Yann Andréa praised her to the skies. Philippe Sollers and Jean-Paul Sartre could hardly bear her. Her work fascinated and still fascinates many of her readers, as if they are impregnated by her poetic novels, delighted by her love stories, captivated by her writing; contaminated, almost, by the “inner shadow” Duras said played a key role in her writing.
