The memory of fire

The AVPA or Venezuelan Association for Analytical Psychology and its training Institute have never yielded to the destructive power of the economic crisis that has raged in Venezuela for over two decades. Nevertheless, the underlying strength driving members and candidates to continue remains in part unconscious. Collective analysis of a dream, shared during one of our group meetings, brought to light images that are clues to the deep nature of this unshakable strength. After the associations, amplifications, and reflections of twelve participants were collected and sifted by our small work group, a symbol that was unique and yet at the same time multifaceted emerged. We find the life force and sustenance of the group in an alloy of fire, joy, and music.
