Jungian insight into a psychiatric and psychoanalytic clinic

Jung’s innovative reflections about his work as a hospital psychotherapist were a valuable source of knowledge for me in my own experience as a therapist. His writings opened my mind to a whole set of questions that made my encounters with these people more meaningful. A few of Jung’s clinical vignettes illustrate the theoretical progress he made on institutional psychotherapy. I connect both my experience as a staff member interacting with the rest of the team and examples from my clinical work to my reading of Jung.
