The function of the C. G. Jung Study Group in the French Jungian “galaxy” and its opening to the general public

The association L’ÉCHELLE (often referred to as the Gros Caillou Club) that formed around Jean Bruneton, was the mother of a whole set of French Jungian organizations. Currently, the C.G. Jung Studies Groups continues the work of L’ÉCHELLE. Its aims have been redefined and refocused over the years, as the Jungian presence in France has grown. By tracing the association’s history, this article adds meaning to the role and purpose of the Groupe C.G. Jung today.
