Subjectivity Taken to Its Extreme
By Aimé Agnel
English
The author defines Jungian psychoanalytic technique on the basis of the concept of subjectivity, the value and relevance of which appear once the criticism of the ideal father, the mythical representation of «objective» knowledge, has been made. For Jung, subjectivity is both a limitation, and, when it is differentiated and «carried to its utmost degree», the factor which enables the subject to go beyond the fictitious ego unit through a confrontation with the objective self.
