Based on two studies, one of which concerned acted-out incest and the other a confabulated accusation, examines the activation of the symbolic function during the adolescent phase. This activation can be an opportunity to break down the walls which hitherto isolated and concealed a traumatic experience, contributing to the reorganization of the personality.
