The Paths of Individuation
By Jacques Rougeulle
English
After noting that the concept of individuation is rooted in antiquity in the writings of Aristotle, the author turns to Jung’s modern reflection on the subject as an aspect of the psychology of the depths, both as a principle and as a process, and reviews the conditions for the development of individuation. The author insists on the social value of the subject’s individual reconciliation with himself, which would foster constructive relations free of the violence which currently plagues our society despite technical and social progress.
