Transsexualism, Sexuation, and Countertransference

The author presents an unusual counter-transference involving a transsexual patient; indeed, if he wishes to accompany his patient on his journey, he will have to confront his sexual and sexuated origins. This article approaches the differentiation process from the standpoint of regression, in the Jungian sense, and is therefore centered on the androgynous archetype.
