Exile and Consciousness
By Hellée Papadopoulos
English
Based on a semantical study of the Latin and Greek concepts of exile, the author refers to Eve’s deed as an example of the archetypal origin of transgression. The exile from Paradise can be justified as an opening to the reflective field of the consciousness and to the individuation process in reference to the self, imago Dei and axis of circumambulatio around the “tree of life”.
