A Quiet and Certain Hope
By Catherine Fouillet
English
Based on a clinical experience, this article examines the fragility of adolescent desire in an environment saturated with injunctions to perform, multiple crises, and an acceleration of time. In the therapeutic space, how can you welcome a part of the adolescent that is resisting, balking, or trying to be born? Through transference, the therapist provides a space where the desirous life can be felt and expressed. The article explores the bonds between intimacy, subjectivation, and hope, at the core of an adolescence in search of meaning.
